SMD signature plot tests are a globally recognised procedure for the determination of the required energy parameters for fine / ultrafine grinding of ores using SMD mills and are used for the sizing and design of SMD grinding circuits across the world.
Grinding Solutions’ laboratory performs the SMD signature plot tests with a range of fine / ultrafine grinding mills. The mills cover bench scale testing applications and can accommodate sample sizes from a few hundred grams to over several hundred kilos. The mills are designed to perform SMD signature plot tests that are applicable for scaling Metso SMD mills, however specific rotor and mill modifications can be applied to accommodate SMD signature plot testing for other vertical stirred media mills.
