Nick has over 30 years’ experience in the global minerals industry, graduating from the Camborne School of Mines with a BSc in Mineral Processing and an MSc in Mineral Processing from Queens University, Canada. Nick’s professional career spans all areas of industrial & metalliferous minerals processing and oil field related minerals and applications. Nick setup GSL in 2002 and under his leadership the company has grown from fine and ultrafine grinding specialists to the comprehensive mineral processing testing and consulting service it is today.
Felicity joined GSL in 2010 bringing with her a wealth of business experience, having previously been a director of a company in the oil sector with an annual T/O of £5M. Alongside Nick, Felicity has overseen the growth of the company to where it is today, offering a wide range of mineral processing services to a global client base.
Dan joined GSL in January 2021 after a year of consulting on the commercial side. Having been director at 2 previous companies with over 20 years of experience he brought with him a wealth of knowledge of process efficiency and experience. As Managing Director, Dan is in charge of the commercial and operational aspects of the business and plays an active role developing GSL’s profile within the mining industry.
James has headed up the technical team since 2021, having joined GSL in 2016.
James previously worked for FLSmidth working on operations across Europe, the Middle East and Russia. James has BSc in Chemistry from the University of Bath and completed his Masters and PhD in Minerals Engineering at Camborne School of Mines.
Sam joined GSL in 2021 after being HR manager for a team of 70. After 8 years in her previous role she brings with her a huge amount of experience and background to help the team and GSL with its current growth plans. Sam heads up the financial operations and HR and is keen to help GSL grow through its next stages of development.
With over 15 years metallurgical testing experience, Mike heads up our hydrometallurgy department and has significant experience in leaching (particularly gold and silver), flotation, gravity recovery and tailings handling.
Mike has a BSc in Applied Geology from the Camborne School of Mines and an MSc in Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy also from Camborne School of Mines.
Jon has been with GSL since 2016 and heads up bench and pilot test programmes with particular expertise in fine and ultrafine grinding and VMS flotation.
Jon has an MSc in Mining Engineering from Camborne School of Mines, with a undergraduate BSc in Geology.
Ben works on wide range of projects covering comminution, flotation and gravity separation at both bench and pilot scale.
Ben has a BSc in Environmental Geoscience from University of Cardiff and completed his Masters in Mining Engineering at Camborne School of Mines. Prior to joining GSL, Ben spent 12 years at Imerys Minerals.
