Determination of energy requirements for HPGR are typically done using a pilot-scale HPGR (for instance LABWAL), though for metallurgical scoping studies or variability programmes where sample masses are limited, static compression tests can also be done using a piston-die setup.
GSL has two piston-die combinations available which, in combination with a 1400kN MTS load frame, can reach pressures of approximately 300 -350MPa.
Our high resolution optical microscope and image processing algorithms to help quantify residual fracturing in HPGR products and determine effects on grinding behaviour of ores.
