The Vertimill® Jar Mill Test is a grindability test undertaken in the Metso Jar Mill test mill. The test produces a signature plot showing the energy consumption required to grind to pre-designated target particle sizes using the Vertimill®. GSL offers both the standard and reconstituted Metso Vertimill® Jar Mill test, the sample requirements and specifications of which are outlined below:
Standard
- Sample requirements = 15-20kg of <8mesh (2360µm).
- Ore, lump / core samples are accepted and require additional sample preparation stages.
Reconstituted
- Undertaken in circumstances of sample size restrictions
- Sample requirements = minimum 5kg <8mesh (2360µm)
- Ore, lump / core samples are accepted and require additional sample preparation stages.
