Innovative energy storage solutions are critical as society transitions away from traditional energy sources and we at GSL are delighted to be working with RheEnergise to help them develop their system.
RheEnergise are adapting hydropower systems so that the principles can be applied to gentler, lower slopes than conventional systems. By pumping a high density fluid to the top of a hill at periods of low energy demand, RheEnergise are able to store the energy, ready to be released back down the hill over turbines to provide energy at times of higher demand.
Where possible, the RheEnergise system could be used with renewables energy sources, providing a low cost, agile and clean energy storage solution.
