Taking advantage of record high gold prices

With gold prices hovering around $1,900 per oz, many companies are seeing a unique opportunity to develop assets that may have previously been uneconomic. West Africa is one region which is particularly busy, with companies looking to take advantage of relatively shallow mining depths and mining friendly juristrictions. Mining Review Africa’s September issue features reviews of activity in the region, speaking to major players about their activities and plans for the future.

One of those companies operating in the region is Altus Strategies, with whom GSL are delighted to be working with on their Diba project in Mali. Following a strong PEA, Altus engaged GSL to look at the amenability of the ore to heap and CIL leaching to determine the optimum process route to maximise their return.

GSL works with its clients to optimise their mineral recoveries and financial returns, achieving this by offering a wide range of processing options to assist from initial scoping to DFS level studies. In gold processing we can offer our clients solutions for increased gold recoveries through gravity, standard cyanide leaching and enhanced oxidation leaching using the MMS Leachox™ process, in conjunction with flotation and fine grinding.

At every level, we work to maximise value for our clients.
