GSL is pleased to welcome Phil Hingston to the team. Phil started in April, taking on the newly created role of Technical Manager and the responsibility of developing and delivering high quality testwork programmes for our clients.
As part of the Senior Management Team, Phil will also be supporting the promotion and development of new services as well as managing our growing team of metallurgists.

Prior to joining GSL, Phil was Chief Project Metallurgist with Bisha Mining Share Company where he was focused on medium term, long term and strategic projects, bringing them from concept through to production. Phil has a multi-disciplined background of consulting and operations and has worked at both tin/tungsten and gold producing mines in both plant and project metallurgy roles. Phil has also worked in metallurgical consultancies where he has managed testwork programmes from scoping to feasibility level.

We have significantly expanded our service offering beyond fine grinding where it all started and now have equipment and expertise spanning the full range of mineral processing techniques. Whilst we have also traditionally been very active in plant troubleshooting and optimisation, which lend themselves to our innovative approach, we have been increasingly working across the broader mine value chain. Phil’s knowledge, experience and reputation within the industry will enable us to add more value to more clients from PEA through plant auditing and optimisation.’

Phil has already been assisting with early phase exploration projects in the lab, presented at the recent IAEG Annual Conference in Kilkenny and visited clients in Portgual.
